HOW.....

We got the kitten.

It started off when mom started saying she wanted a kitten for her birthday. We tried desperately to get one, but they were expensive in the pet shops. So, we asked our local vet. He said he'd try to get one but nothing came of it. We called our former vet (we changed vets recently) and he said he had a friend who had a cat that had kittens. They wanted to find nice homes for them.

We went out, without mom, on the pretense of getting Michelle (my friend) a birthday present. We also told her we'd get her something for her birthday, but not a cat. We drove around to our vet and he told us where it was. It took us half an hour to find it, it was quite a nice house but in a little side street. The lady came out waving to us, she took us to the laundry area and there, separate from the mother, were the kittens in a pink cage. We played with them for a while and it took us a while to decide which one we wanted--they were all so cute. Finally we decided this cute little girl would be perfect for us. They were all so sweet and supportive, they gave us a blue traveling box to put her in and sent us off.

On the way home I called mom, pretending we were down town in the section with warm pyjamas and we were asking her what type of pyjamas she wants. When we got home she was sitting on the couch, expecting warm, black PJs for her birthday. Dad told her to hold out her hands and close her eyes and she did. And she got a big shock when she heard it meow.

The rest of the afternoon was spent playing with the cat. Now, as I'm sitting here typing, dad is taking photos, and Claire is squealing, chasing the cat EVERYWHERE. Poor cat.

Birthday. I want to wish my mom Happy Birthday, and to tell anybody who may be looking that it's her birthday today. I shall be posting some photos of mom's birthday present and her birthday meal soon.

tonight...

Tonight we had a big barbie. It was all meat, music, dancing, and fun. Well DEXTER just now
proved to us that when he wants something he will do anything he can to get it. For example
we locked him in his cage so that he wouldn't beg. As soon after I left him alone for a suitable
time DEXTER comes trotting around the corner with this naughty look on his face. I bring him
around the corner and everything is still locked--he must have jumped the gate. Well now I am off to bed bye

Today...

Today I did school. But to be sneaky I did all the school I was ment to do on Sunday on Friday. so I did'nt have to do school today hee hee

Sorry I haven't been blogging so much, there's not so much happening up here in the mountains these days, with their nice hazy atmosphere and the pretty view of the sea.

Tonight we are going to the beach. We made a cake and I'm going to post a picture of the cake (its a chocolate marble swirl cake), the beach and maybe a few shots of my dog Dexter.

Oh, and I'm growing two tomato plants, one mint plant and three cabbage plants and three lettuce plants and some parsely. The lettuce is not doing so well though. and i will take photos of them to
