i'm sick

DEXTER HAS...........................................
A COAT. And not just any old coat either. [i had better describe it] It [drum roll please]is a real doggy coat .[ta da] Its like those coats that you see people dress up their little dogs in. It is a [another drum roll please] cute little BLUE DOG COAT. I got it when I went downtown with my friend Adena when we passed by this little sideway shop which was selling all kinds of cute doggy stuff. So I just had to stop by and at least look at the cute looking stuff . Anyway we went and the guy gave the coat to us for a pretty good deal [even thought I had to ransack my allowence to do so].And now as I am sitting here typing this I know that even though my allowence is empty I now can say that I have a coat for my dog.I shall send a photo of him as soon as I can [I can't right now becase I am sick with a terrible cough and cold]

HOW.....
We got the kitten.
It started off when mom started saying she wanted a kitten for her birthday. We tried desperately to get one, but they were expensive in the pet shops. So, we asked our local vet. He said he'd try to get one but nothing came of it. We called our former vet (we changed vets recently) and he said he had a friend who had a cat that had kittens. They wanted to find nice homes for them.
We went out, without mom, on the pretense of getting Michelle (my friend) a birthday present. We also told her we'd get her something for her birthday, but not a cat. We drove around to our vet and he told us where it was. It took us half an hour to find it, it was quite a nice house but in a little side street. The lady came out waving to us, she took us to the laundry area and there, separate from the mother, were the kittens in a pink cage. We played with them for a while and it took us a while to decide which one we wanted--they were all so cute. Finally we decided this cute little girl would be perfect for us. They were all so sweet and supportive, they gave us a blue traveling box to put her in and sent us off.
On the way home I called mom, pretending we were down town in the section with warm pyjamas and we were asking her what type of pyjamas she wants. When we got home she was sitting on the couch, expecting warm, black PJs for her birthday. Dad told her to hold out her hands and close her eyes and she did. And she got a big shock when she heard it meow.
The rest of the afternoon was spent playing with the cat. Now, as I'm sitting here typing, dad is taking photos, and Claire is squealing, chasing the cat EVERYWHERE. Poor cat.

tonight...
Tonight we had a big barbie. It was all meat, music, dancing, and fun. Well DEXTER just now
proved to us that when he wants something he will do anything he can to get it. For example
we locked him in his cage so that he wouldn't beg. As soon after I left him alone for a suitable
time DEXTER comes trotting around the corner with this naughty look on his face. I bring him
around the corner and everything is still locked--he must have jumped the gate. Well now I am off to bed bye

Sorry
Sorry I haven't been blogging so much, there's not so much happening up here in the mountains these days, with their nice hazy atmosphere and the pretty view of the sea.
Tonight we are going to the beach. We made a cake and I'm going to post a picture of the cake (its a chocolate marble swirl cake), the beach and maybe a few shots of my dog Dexter.
Oh, and I'm growing two tomato plants, one mint plant and three cabbage plants and three lettuce plants and some parsely. The lettuce is not doing so well though. and i will take photos of them to

Announcement!!!
A cat had kittens right in our dryer... A friend of mine saw them (they were in his clean, dried laundry...) and put them in a big blanket. There were two kittens, it was probably her first batch because the mommy was really young and usually they have more kittens than that. I hope when they are old enough I can take one for my very own. I can't decide yet. One is brown with stripes--that one is very cute. There is a white one with black spots here and there, but it is mostly white and that one is very cute too. They are two weeks old now, and their eyes are open but their mother is still very protective of them. I still have a few more weeks to decide which one I want. I hope I can decide soon. Bye

Today...
My dog Dexter is sick, (sniff, sniff.) I hope he gets better soon.
Today I made a patchwork quilt and a pillow to go with it, for stuffies. Its a birthday present for a friend.
I know how to write my Chinese surname. My Chinese name is Wei Si-tee. In Chinese it means light brown silk thread :-) "Si" means beautiful silk, "tee" means light brown color.
